Position Description

I have been on the WAHAM Board for quite some time now. I have served as Membership, Secretary, Vice President, and of course President and Past President. I have enjoyed my time on the board very much and feel fortunate to have met so many people and made so many friends. The friends are there when it comes to work issues, and to see you through, sad times and happy times in your personal life.

I would say the most important thing that influenced my career would be WAHAM. Not only because of the opportunities it offers to stay current with our issues, but because it helped me grow in many other beneficial ways.

I started as an “Admitting CLERK” in 1967; I was promoted to Supervisor around 1975, and a Manager last year. So I have spent almost 40 years in this building, formerly Trinity Memorial Hospital and presently St. Luke’s South Shore, an offshoot of sorts of St. Luke’s Medical Center.

You can imagine I have seen a lot of changes most good, some not so good (HMO’s, PPO’s, MSP QUESTIONS etc). All in all it has been a fun job.
